Solaris is the first of the Strong Women's Series. It's style came from a tablet sketching habit that I have of drawing with brightly color lines on a black background. The energy of it came from a music video playlist of Straight Out Of Oz by Todrick Hall. My really close friend introduced me to it, because he knew I was very much into RuPaul's Drag Race. That same friend's creative energy was put into the piece as well, he doesn't release it very often, but when he does, it's incredible and beautiful and just shines through the darkest of clouds that like to hang over all us. Even though it's a woman posing, I felt like it was still a very universally designed being that represents the sun that is capable of rising out of all of us.
The pattern on the woman's arm is going to be a reoccurring theme within each of the Strong Women series. I am not only a huge fan of tattoo art and patterns, but also in the unique patterns that represents each person's soul. gdsxc <--(and the cat just walked all over the keyboard).
