Carving Out

The Darkness

Everyone goes through some kind of emotional journey, could be dark for a while or constantly bright. When I work on a digital surface, I always turn off the lights and make my background dark...it's my favorite way to draw lately. I feel like the darkness has light capabilities...I just have to "carve" into it, a bit like a sculptor. The light "is" there! From our lowest moments, we are able to fight and find some happiness, you might have to do it alone, or be fortunate enough to have a helping hand. Some of these pieces might make some people uncomfortable, or even just relatable, but I wanted to share some of the images I get when I go through some of my own darknesses.
